Role Objectives
The Human Resource Generalist will assist with the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including management of employee life cycle, benefits management, employee inquires and employee relations, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities
Partners with leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase retention, and foster positive environment.
Provide policy guidance and coaching to department leaders on issues related to all areas of human resources including, but not limited to employee relations, performance management, diversity, equity & inclusion, company policies, compliance, engagement, retention, leaves and accommodations.
Assists with employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
Oversees onboarding of team members to provide a great new employee experience.
Prepare or maintain employment records and paperwork related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
Brief employees on key benefits; answers questions concerning benefit practices and policies.
Participate or lead corporate sponsored projects including, but not limited to: compensation, organizational structure, standardization teams, job descriptions, acquisitions, employee engagement, etc.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Other duties as appropriate to the objectives of the role and goals of Resourcing Edge.
Required Experience
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field
- 5 or more years of related HR Generalist experience
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong project management, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects, requests, and other duties with a strong ability to prioritize them to meet established goals and objectives
Preferred Skills
- PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of benefit programs and related regulations.
- Strong work ethic with ability to simultaneously manage priorities and complete several projects and deliver within short term time frames.
